Our services
From your needs to a solution that works.
Building automation consultancy focused on integration, functionality and operation.

01 / CONSULTANCY
Technical consultancy and design
We help clarify needs and translate them into specific functional requirements. A shared technical foundation makes it easier to coordinate solutions across disciplines and suppliers.
02 / AUTOMATION
Building automation and BMS
Advice on controlling, monitoring and operating building services. We consider how room functions, technical systems and everyday use interact.
03 / INTEGRATION
System integration
Technical systems need to exchange data and work together. We help define interfaces, protocols and integration between different solutions.
04 / OPERATION
Energy optimisation and operation
Consumption data, operating patterns and system functions provide a basis for identifying improvements. We help build a clear picture and identify opportunities within the existing solution.
A clear technical foundation
The work starts with your needs. Together, we clarify the objectives, the technical framework and where GH Connect should contribute to the project.
Integrated room automation
When responsibility is divided,
the whole solution must still work.
GH Connect has extensive experience with the challenges that arise when automation is divided between multiple contracts and no one has clear responsibility for overall functionality.
Include the interfaces in the tender
Ventilation, plumbing and heating, electrical systems and lighting, façades and solar shading, security and monitoring are often supplied by different parties. Each system may be correctly delivered on its own while coordination between them remains unresolved.
Who specifies, for example, how solar shading, daylight, lighting and cooling should be coordinated? Who agrees the shared operating modes? And who tests that the functions actually work together?
A shared automation concept must be established early in the project. Functional requirements, interfaces and responsibilities must be clear before solutions are selected and work is allocated.
From plant rooms to everyday life
Building management systems traditionally focused on heating, cooling and ventilation equipment in plant rooms. These central systems remain important, but modern room automation brings many more functions directly into users’ everyday lives.
Indoor climate, lighting and solar shading controls must work together with occupancy detection and user controls. Room use and layouts can change, and people experience comfort differently.
Users should understand the automation and be able to adjust their surroundings within agreed limits. Perceived comfort must be assessed alongside energy consumption and operating costs.
If people do not feel comfortable in the room, the technology has not achieved its purpose.
Typical challenges
Integration proves itself in each room.
SOLAR SHADING / COOLING
Sunlight increases cooling demand
If solar shading and temperature controls are not coordinated, unnecessary solar heat gains can increase cooling demand. The strategy must consider temperature, views, daylight and glare.
DAYLIGHT / LIGHTING
Lighting should feel right
When shading changes the amount of daylight, artificial lighting must respond. Control performance should be assessed at the workstation and with users, including the effects of contrast and glare.
OCCUPANCY / OPERATION
Systems need to understand room use
Different schedules and occupancy signals can cause systems to interpret room use differently. Shared operating modes must be coordinated with relevant signals from access control, security and monitoring.
USER CONTROLS / COMFORT
Individual needs must be accommodated
An automatic setting will not necessarily suit everyone. Controls must be intuitive, making it clear what users can change, how long a change applies and how it affects other functions.
How GH Connect contributes
We help you cover the whole picture.
01 / NEEDS
A shared functional concept
We bring the needs of the building owner, users and operations team together in a shared room automation concept across disciplines.
02 / RESPONSIBILITY
Clear requirements and interfaces
We help specify coordination, data exchange and responsibilities as a basis for design and tendering.
03 / COORDINATION
Coordinated functions
We advise on shared operating modes, priorities, user controls and flexibility when layouts change.
04 / TESTING
Test the complete solution
We help plan integrated functional testing and follow-up on comfort and operation in the completed rooms.
